About Us

Become a Champion Rower with Rowing Club of The Woodlands (RCTW).

RCTW takes pride in providing recreational and competitive rowing opportunities for The Woodlands and surrounding communities. The club is dedicated to the advancement of rowing and is a registered member of the United States Rowing Association (USRowing), the national governing body for the sport in the US. Established in 1882, USRowing is America's oldest amateur sports association.

RCTW was formed by a small group of enthusiasts in February of 1989. Since then, the club has acquired an assortment of recreational, intermediate, and elite rowing shells, and has participated competitively at regional and national regattas. It's established competitive Juniors program is known nationwide. Our current members include ex-collegiate, self-taught, and juniors rowers.

Learn to Row Program
The Learn to Row Program is designed for beginning adult rowers or those with limited rowing experience. We offer private/semi-private classes typically on weekday and weekend mornings and try to accommodate beginning rowers' schedules with that of our instructors.

Juniors Program
We offer development and competitive rowing programs for juniors and for several schools, athletes who participate in our weekly training program (4-5 days a week) can receive physical education credits.
