Intro to AI & Computer Vision with Scratch
Ages 9+ Must know basic Scratch
**Intro to AI (Scratch)**
**Description:** Intro to AI concepts using Scratch block coding.
**Take-Home:** All robotics kits and every project your child builds in camp.
**Project Description:**
This hands-on camp introduces young learners to the exciting world of AI, coding, and robotics through Scratch block programming. Kids will learn how sensors, circuits, and simple AI logic work by building real hardware projects and coding interactive games. Every student gets their own personal robotics kit—no sharing—and they take all the equipment and projects home at the end of camp.
**Example Projects:**
• Christmas Lights LED Sequence
• Blinking Lights with a Switch
• Mini-Piano with Touch Sensors
• Highway Toll System with Sensors
• Sunrise LED Alarm
• Pong Game
• Apple Catcher Game with a Joystick
• Flappy Bird Game
**Learning Outcomes:**
By the end of camp, students will:
• Understand sensors, inputs, and outputs in robotics
• Learn basic circuit concepts, including ground (GND)
• Use Scratch to control lights, sounds, and motors
• Build and use joysticks (X & Y axis, positive/negative values)
• Explore video game mechanics by coding simple games
• Strengthen creativity and problem-solving through hands-on engineering
