Compassion United will host its ninth annual Gala, TOGETHER: Celebrating 20 Years, on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Conroe. The evening will support Compassion United’s mission to serve individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, trauma, and addiction in Montgomery County.
Founded nearly 20 years ago by Luke and Karla Redus, Compassion United began with a simple act—sharing breakfast tacos with people experiencing homelessness in downtown Conroe. Today, it has grown into the most comprehensive support organization serving the homeless in Montgomery County, providing outreach, relief, and empowerment through programs including transitional housing, grocery distribution, youth programs, and day services.
