The Woodlands Kiwanis Club invites the community to their 35th Annual Kids Fish Festival/Tournament. The FREE annual event is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, 7:30am – Noon at Creekwood Park in The Woodlands.
Our mission is to introduce urban and rural children to the wholesome sport of fishing while instilling a love and respect for the outdoors. Fishing with kids is a great way to build confidence. When kids catch a fish, they will feel a sense of accomplishment. This is an excellent opportunity to teach kids about setting goals, learning what’s necessary, working hard, and then going out to achieve them. As with anything in life, intrinsic motivation is critical.
Open to kids ages 2 to 16 years and their parents or guardians. Check in begins at 7:30am. Fishing will begin at 8:00am. Free bait will be available, but participants need to bring their own rods, reels and tackle. Volunteers, including local Key Club Members, will be on-site to
lend a hand. Activities include music, free refreshments, chips & hot dogs concluding with an awards ceremony.
Pre-registration is encouraged
Location: Creekwood Park - The Woodlands - across from McCullough Jr High School - S Panther Creek Dr
