POP-UP SCIENCE in October
Fall into STEAM with our October POP-UP SCIENCE activities!
Are you looking for fun, hands-on weekday activities for your children? Drop by our Pop-Up Science station every Thursday from 10am - 12pm for exciting, interactive learning:
October 1st, 10:00-12:00
Candy Corn Boats
In this fun Halloween STEM challenge, children will become engineers and design a mini “boat” using aluminum foil and candy corn. This hands-on activity encourages children to explore buoyancy, weight, balance, and engineering while practicing problem-solving and making predictions.
October 8th, 10:00-12:00
Pumpkin Sprouts
Stop by our Pop-Up Science station to explore the life cycle of a pumpkin. Children will be guided to pick out their seeds and “plant” them in a clear bag so they can easily observe growth at home.
October 15th, 10:00-12:00
Pumpkins, do they float?
Explore buoyancy with this easy, hands-on experiment using pumpkins of different sizes. Students will practice their prediction and scientific observation skills while learning about density.
October 22nd, 10:00-12:00
Marshmallow S’mores Structures
Stop by our Pop-Up Science station for a Fall activity that encourages children to build, balance, and engineer with s’mores! Using toothpicks, graham crackers, and marshmallows, guests can design and build their own campfire creations.
October 29th, 10:00-12:00
Growing Ghosts
Stop by our Pop-Up Science station to explore chemical reactions through this fun Halloween-themed experiment. Using household materials, children will observe how a chemical reaction produces gas that makes their balloon “ghost” grow.
