Boots vs. Badges Softball Game Returns to The Woodlands for National Night Out 2026

Get ready for an afternoon of family fun, community spirit and friendly competition in The Woodlands! As part of this year’s National Night Out celebrations, residents are invited to the Boots vs. Badges Softball Game on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at McCullough Junior High School Scotland Yard.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will take on the The Woodlands Fire Department in a spirited softball showdown highlighting the strong relationship between local residents and the men and women who serve and protect the community.

The event offers something for the entire family, with a Kid Zone, free food, concessions and a spectacular car show featuring custom and classic vehicles from across Montgomery County.

Hot Rods & Home Runs Car Display

Car enthusiasts can check out the Hot Rods & Home Runs Car Display, featuring the The Woodlands Car Club Community Car Showcase and some of the area's best custom and classic cars.

Awards will be presented onsite in several categories, including:

  • Best Paint
  • Most Unique
  • Kids’ Choice
  • Best Truck
  • Best Import

Free Family-Friendly Community Event

Admission to the Boots vs. Badges Softball Game is free. Attendees can enjoy free hot dogs and hamburgers while supplies last, along with activities for children and an opportunity to support local law enforcement, firefighters and other public safety personnel.
