The Woodlands Highlanders Football Team
The Woodlands High School Varsity Football Team is led by head coach Jim Rapp.
Rapp had been The Woodlands offensive line coach for 22 seasons and was the offensive coordinator for 14 seasons under coach Mark Schmid. He was an integral part of the Highlanders' run to the Class 6A Division I state championship game in 2016.
The Woodlands Highlanders have been playing varsity football since 1978. They made their first playoff appearance in 1981, which also marked the team's first district championship.
Last season, the Highlanders finished 4th in the district with a district record of 5-3, 8-5 overall.
