Hooker Custom Designed Pair of Old World, French Country Bachelors Chests/Nightstands
- I transformed this set of large Hooker gentlemans chests with an old world European, French country design.You'll never find another set like these.
- We cleaned, filled, sanded, primed, added worn linen texture, painted in layers, glazed and lightly distressed the finish for that perfectly imperfect look. I hand poured molds of acanthus leaves and scrolls, composed them, then attached them to the apron front and sides. I added a lovely decoupage to the drawer fronts and added corner molds as accents. I then layered the blue gray glaze over the beautiful seaglass green custom color, then gilded the molds and highlighted the trims. I lightly distressed all over, then sealed with polycrylic for durability.
- This pair of nightstands feature built in extension cords to plug into a wall socket and each has 3 electrical outlets and one USB port.
- I created the look of cozy worn linen with a painting technique. It's hard to see it in pictures but it is a very luxurious feel and is even better in person.
- All drawers are sturdy and glide smoothly in and out on their rails, with original hardware. Hooker is a very high quality furniture maker using durable hardwoods for solid and sturdy construction. This ensures you will have decades more use from these timeless beauty's high end design.
- Color is a lovely, seaglass green with blue gray glaze washed over and lightly distressed.
