1965 Plymouth Barracuda
I am selling my 1965 Plymouth Barracuda which I have owned for several years. It has its original 273 V8 engine, Torque-Flite automatic transmission, power steering and power disc brakes, and is in very good original condition../The only addition is the center console/cupholder I added for my own convenience. The interior is excellent and the paint is very good. The car will be detailed and the paint professionally buffed out prior to turning it over to the new owner.
These cars, in this condition, are increasingly rare and it is always a popular entrant at local car shows, several of which it has won. This "pony car" was introduced before the Mustang in 1964, but never sold in Mustang numbers, thus making it much more rare. A further development of the Plymouth Valiant, as the Mustang was of the infamous Ford Pinto, it steadily developed a faithful following among car collectors for its handling, performance, and inerior room. The back seat folds down and the car can double as a handy cargo hauler for your trips to Costco.
It is a solid, rust-free Southern car which has been garaged throughout my ownership and runs beautifully with its new Edelbrock carb. One sold this week on Hemmings Auctions for over $26,000 but mine is priced significantly lower making it a real bargain for such a nice collector car. The car is located in The Woodlands and is available for inspection. If sold out of the area, I will gladly help with any shipping arrangementss of the new owner. I am open to reasonasble offers, as I am a reasonsable person, but will not accept checks. Venmo, Zell or cash are preferred. Thank you for looking at this very nice car.
