Zenith Universal Portable Radio, Model 5G500, manufactured around 1941–1942 just before U.S. involvement in World War II.
Features:
- Original Zenith knobs
- Original Wavemagnet antenna present
- Tubes and chassis appear complete
- Dial glass is in good condition
- Original carrying strap included
- Cabinet covering largely intact
Condition:
The last time I plugged it in, it was working. However, it has not been plugged in or tested in approximately 10 years, so it is being sold as-is. It shows normal age-related wear, dust, stains, and some cabinet damage.
Great restoration project or display piece for a collector.
