Description

Rare and Original antique rice chest from Java. The chest is of large single teak wood planks, with original cast iron hardware of Dutch design and Javanese craftsmanship. Commonly used as storage for rice by local Indonesians due to sturdy and reliable construction.

Trunk is very well made, solid and HEAVY. It is in excellent condition. The wheels do roll in a left to right fashion but I believe them to be more for adornment than function.
