True Persian, Iraq, Oriental wool rug 1954-1962 Photos
This is a true Persian, Iraq, Oriental rug made of wool. Supposedly was in an United Stated Ambassador’s residence before I bought this about 18 years ago (I used it for about 8 years) and it has been in climate-controlled storage until a week ago. It was professionally cleaned when I bought it and before storage. I pulled it outside to take these pics and its back inside our home. The tag on the back, which is gone, stated the dimensions and origin (Persia, Iraq and approximate date of it being made).
As you can see the rug still has all of its vibrant colors and I even took pics of the underside which are the muted colors. The dimensions are 9.5 ft X 12.5 ft. It is very fairly priced and have been told I could fetch $1200 for it but we need to sell since we closed our storage unit.
