Suzanne Smith is a Lecturer at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University, where she also serves as the Ph.D. Writing Advisor. Previously, she served as the inaugural director of the Center for Writing and Communicating ideas at the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and a Lecturer in History and Literature. She has been awarded the John Clive Teaching Prize, the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize, and the Joseph R. Levenson Memorial Teaching Prize from the Undergraduate Council of Harvard College, as well as multiple Excellence in Teaching Awards from the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning and the Office of Undergraduate Education. She previously served as a pre-concentration advisor for first year students at Harvard College.
