In this three-day camp, young creators learn stop-motion filmmaking by bringing paper puppets, LEGO figures, and small props to life, frame by frame, in their own mini animation studio.

Each day, campers design characters, build tiny sets, and animate simple scenes one photo at a time. They learn how stories come alive through posing, sequencing, and collaboration, and complete a short animated film starring the characters they create.

Camp Breakdown

Day 1 - Meet the Actors - Campers learn the basics of stop motion and create their first paper or LEGO characters. They shoot simple tests to explore movement, expression, and emotion.

Day 2 - Build the Studio Set - Students design and construct a miniature set, like a bedroom, street, toy town, or alien world and animate short character actions within their created environment.

Day 3 - Lights, Camera, Animate! - Campers film a complete short animated scene using their characters and sets. The camp ends with a fun Oscars screening where everyone shares their films.
