Accepted Items
- Aerosols, such as spray paint, bug spray, cleaning or spray foam products
- Antifreeze
- Corrosives, such as drain cleaners, chemical strippers, degreasers and pool acids
- Fire extinguishers
- Flammables & oxidizers, solid or liquid, such as paint thinner, turpentine, wood stain, granular or liquid pool and household chemicals, polish and contaminated rags
- Lightbulbs – Compact fluorescent (CFL), fluorescent and high-intensity discharge (HID) only. Must be intact, not broken. No tube lights over 4 feet.
- Latex & oil-based paint
- Mercury-containing products, such as thermometers
- Motor oil & oil filters
- Poisons, solid or liquid, such as pest bait, weed killers, chemical fertilizers or hobby glue
- Propane tanks – 1 lb. and 20 lb. only
- Reactives, such as bleach, ammonia or chlorine
The Household Hazardous Waste Drive-Thru is hosted by The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department, made possible by grant funding from the Houston-Galveston Area Council.
