Join us for the Re-Opening of the Heartwood Native Plant Nursery and Propagation Station! Thanks to the H-E-B Pollinators for Texas Grant Project, the Heartwood Nursery at W.G. Jones State Forest has been revitalized to better grow and establish native trees and plants for use throughout the region. These efforts support natural resource restoration, enhance pollinator habitat, increase biodiversity, and contribute to urban greening initiatives.
Celebrate this exciting milestone with us by attending a training focused on native seed collection and identification of target species for local restoration projects. The event will also include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a seed collection hike, and a hands-on nursery planting workshop.
