2010 Change for Charity Recipients Announced
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Market Street has announced its 2010 Change for Charity recipients:
- New Danville, an organization dedicated to helping adults with special needs and related conditions live independently
- Montgomery County Emergency Assistance
- Montgomery PET Partners
- Montgomery County Committee on Aging “The Friendship Center”, a project committed to serving the needs of seniors throughout the county.
Since its inception in 2005 Market Street’s Change for Charity program has raised over $45,000 for non-profits organizations in Montgomery County. A percentage of proceeds from the 68 parking meters at Market Street during a three-month period will benefit each of the selected organizations.
“We are thrilled to be able to benefit more local non-profit groups,” said Market Street Marketing Manager Jenny Taylor. “The nickels and dimes may not seem like much, but they really do add up and make a difference to these charities.”
