TWFG finishing 2017 as leader of the pack

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Financial Group, which has been racking up accolades in the past decade, has reached an apex as the State of Texas’ number one ranked Personal Lines agency for providing Homeowners and Auto insurance.

Gordy Bunch, president and CEO of TWFG, reports that with revenues of almost $50 million, Insurance Journal magazine ranks TWFG as the Lone Star State’s top independent Personal Lines agency and includes it in the Top 10 of the nation along with leadership in the state of Louisiana. The insurance services and financial firm now has 340 branches in 17 states with almost 300,000 policyholders insured by national carriers and its proprietary Twico insurance company.

The company recently introduced a totally reconstructed web site, TWFG.com, that will allow existing and prospective customers to find their local agent, review available personal and small business insurance products from hundreds of carriers, make claims, and even provide opportunities to join the TWFG team. Bunch has built his business on the concept that “Our Policy is Caring,” offering customers choices from multiple carriers to help lower their costs and increase their protection. TWFG also created its own carrier via its new wholly-owned TWICO insurance company, licensed in the state of Texas.

Since the company was formed here in 2001, it has expanded its TWFG branches primarily in Texas, California and Louisiana. In 2017 Bunch created a marketing office in New Jersey to attract new agents and clients in the Mid-Atlantic States. Individual TWFG branches now reach almost every corner of the nation with insurance service offices in the northwestern state of Washington, southward into Mississippi, east into Delaware, the District of Columbia, and down into Florida.
