CONROE, TX (April 16, 2019)—The Rotary Club of The Woodlands, together with Stillwater, a Gracepoint Community in Conroe, hosted the 2nd Annual Texans Legends Crawfish Boil on Sunday, April 7 at Stillwater’s Back Porch, an open recreational and social gathering space located in the heart of the community. The crawfish event was designed as a fundraiser to support the Texas Legends Scholarship Fund. Corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales contributed to a cumulative total of $21,000, which will be awarded for college scholarships to students attending South Montgomery County High Schools and Lone Star College.

“For the second consecutive year, we are proud to award funds for college scholarships through the success of our Crawfish Boil,” said Tom Cox, Co-Founder and President of Gracepoint Homes and Rotary Club member. “This fundraiser was a collective effort by Rotarians, community members, and the generous support of corporate sponsors. We thank everyone who participated,” he added.

The Texas Legends Crawfish Boil included live entertainment, games and activities for kids, food trucks, and a silent auction. The date for next year’s event has not yet been announced.
