Woodforest National Bank Donates $25,000 To Meals On Wheels in Conjunction With Tris Restaurant

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Woodforest National Bank recently presented a $25,000 donation to Meals On Wheel Montgomery County.

The donation was facilitated by a creative entrée at TRIS restaurant, named the Woodforest Steak Board. This generous board of meat selections along with sauces, cheeses and vegetables that feeds four to six guests was created as a way to give back to the community. For every Woodforest Steak Board sold, Woodforest National Bank agreed to make a donation to Meals On Wheels to help provide senior citizens with nutritious meals.

“Meals On Wheels is a most appropriate and deserving recipient of this initiative,” said Jay Dreibelbis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Woodforest National Bank. “Helping the senior citizens of our community has always been near and dear to our hearts, and we’ve been a big supporter of Meals On Wheels for several years. Moreover, their need for support has increased as our county’s population has risen. We are delighted to support them.”

The mission of Meals on Wheels Montgomery County is to foster the independence and dignity of area homebound seniors by providing them with nutritious meals, transportation, and caring connections. They serve disabled homebound seniors nutritious lunch meals Monday through Friday. Serving 580 people each weekday, they help aging neighbors in our community remain well nourished, connected to the community, and independent within the comfort of their own homes.
