Childrens Lighthouse of The Woodlands Hosts Chinese New Year Festival

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- To celebrate the Chinese New Year and the launch of Childrens Lighthouse of The Woodlands’ Mandarin enrichment class, the school is hosting a Chinese New Year Festival on Friday, January 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event that includes a Chinese dinner buffet, cost $10 for an adult and $6 for a child. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance on the Childrens Lighthouse of the Woodlands Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/woodlandslighthouse/).

The event will feature a Lion Dance and Kung Fu presentation by the Master Xing Ying Company in addition to a presentation of Chinese Greetings and The Lion Dance Story by Dr. Shuyu Yan from the Texas Phoenix International School. There will also be an Asian-style buffet with sweet and sour chicken, fried rice/white rice, Asian noodles, Asian vegetables, mandarin oranges and fortune cookies.
