Comcast Contractor Strikes Waterline in The Woodlands Town Center; Expect Traffic Delays

THE WOODLANDS, TX - In a recent social media post, Commissioner Noack stated that a Comcast Contractor struck a 12'' waterline on Lake Woodlands Drive, causing traffic delays in the area.

'American Communications Construction, a directional drilling contractor working for Comcast, struck a 12-inch waterline on eastbound Lake Woodlands Drive, east of Pinecroft Drive, Thursday afternoon.

The outside eastbound lane on Lake Woodlands Drive heading toward Interstate 45 is closed while San Jacinto River Authority crews work to fix the line. ACC and SJRA representatives stated that no locates were called in to the SJRA for this fiber-installation project.

Montgomery County will inspect the condition of the road and subgrade to ensure that it was not compromised when the waterline was hit.'
