(Montgomery, Texas – June 17, 2021) Dogs and their humans can help homeless pets and get their pictures taken during “Pawtraits” For a Cause
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Christine Allen Nature Park, 5831 Woodforest Parkway South in Woodforest.

A professional photographer will be on hand to take photos of dogs (with owners, if desired). Cost is a can or bag of dog food that will be donated to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, which has seen a large influx of pets this month, and Operations Pets Alive. Also, Operations Pets Alive will be onsite with adoptable dogs during the event.

“We all have phone pictures of our dogs,” said Faith Pitman, Director of Marketing for Woodforest.”This is an opportunity to have a professional pup portrait using our beautiful Christine Allen Nature Park as the gorgeous background and to help a local charity in dire need.”

Dogs having their photos taken must be up-to-date on their vaccinations.

The event is part of the community’s Dog Days of Summer campaign. Throughout June, visitors can tour 14 professional model homes. They can also drop by The Palm information center, 251 Central Pine Street, for more information about Woodforest and pick up a free dog leash, goodies and treats.

Woodforest is located five miles north of The Woodlands. Resident dogs and their humans enjoy miles of trails, lakes and parks, including Admiral Bark Park. Residents also have access to Stampede Sportsplex, numerous resident-only events planned by a full-time lifestyle director and Forest Island, a 16-acre tennis and aquatic recreation complex.

Homes in Woodforest are priced from the mid $200,000s to more than $1 million. Learn more at www.woodforesttx.com.
