CONROE, TX -- ASGi Homes has broken ground on a home that — when sold — will benefit HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

Part of the Greater Houston Builders Association’s Benefit Homes Project, the home is also the first home to break ground in a new development, Williams Reserve East in Conroe. Ellison Development — part of the ASGI family of companies — is developing the 46-home community and is donating the homesite for the project.

“We have, of course, known about the Benefit Homes Project for years and are excited to break ground on our first benefit home and donate to this worthy charity,” said Bill Ellison, Founder of ASGi Homes.

The benefit home will be ASGi’s Olivia floor plan, a one-story, 1,932-square-foot design with three bedrooms, two full baths, an open-concept common area and a study that could flex to a fourth bedroom. The home will feature tile flooring, granite countertops, 42-inch cabinets, a kitchen island and 9-foot ceilings. The home will also have a three-car garage.

“The base price of the home is $365,000, but with a few additional features, we are hoping it sells for around $400,000,” Ellison said.

ASGi Homes will be reaching out to their building partners for donations of supplies and services. Profits from the sale of the home go to the Benefit Homes Project charities of HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.

Established in 2003 by the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), HomeAid Houston works to help people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by identifying stable, non-profit care providers and pairing them with GHBA members who donate materials and labor to build and/or renovate shelters and transitional and permanent housing. Operation Finally Home provides mortgage-free homes, renovations and transitional housing to wounded, ill or injured military veterans and first responders.

The GHBA Benefit Homes Project has facilitated the construction of more than 115 homes during its 43-year history and raised $13 million.

Williams Reserve East is located in Conroe along FM 1484 east of Bowder Traylor Road. ASGi Homes is the exclusive builder in the community, offering 10 floor plans for homesites that are three-quarters of an acre or larger. Pricing is from the $270,000s, and floor plans range from 1,200 to 2,374 square feet.
