Fall has risen! As we inch closer every day towards the holidays, the post-summer events are kicking into high gear. Here’s a list of our top five faves!

Thursday, October 5

An annual favorite, the 19th annual H-E-B Wine Walk at Market Street takes place tonight. Grab your friends, girlfriend group, loved ones, or business partners and join the Wine & Food Week favorite. This all-inclusive ticket covers three blocks of Market Street and is jam-packed with a cornucopia of culinary creations, wine displays with industry experts, craft beers, live music, and incredible wine experiences. More than 50 beverages and 30+ culinary offerings from area restaurants, chefs and caterers will be featured on Market Street. Bring your thirst as tasting stations will offer choices from 300+ beverages. Make it a private party with a Deluxe Hospitality Tent. You and your closest friends can secure your own “home base” to take in all Wine Walk has to offer.

The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-mile race, 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K and One 4 Texas Kids’ Fun Run through The Woodlands will be held today, beginning at Northshore Park. These races are produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department. The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas race is a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event with a certified 10-mile course. All races will be capped. The race will conclude with a Texas-sized Post Race Party featuring live music. Please note there will be NO Race Day Registration.

In celebration of the fall season, Howard Hughes will host a Fall Festival at Creekside Park West, the 70,000-square-foot retail component in Creekside Park Village Center in The Woodlands. This free, family-friendly event will feature a pumpkin patch, live DJ music, a rock climbing wall, face painting, family games, local eats and treats, and more! One free pumpkin per family will be given away while supplies last. Creekside Park West is located at 26543 Kuykendahl Road, just south of Creekside Forest Drive, adjacent to Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas.

The Texas Renaissance Festival’s 49th Annual festival kicks off with a most regal celebration of our beloved queen's favored vendors and spectacles. All Hail Her Majesty, The Queen! Opening Weekend, come celebrate the Queen's birthday with special pricing throughout the village, plus unique Queen's birthday foods, beverages and entertainment. This year’s festival will be creating even more immersive experiences for adults and children. With 21 stages, The King’s Feast, jugglers, bards, acrobats, games, rides, restaurants, pub crawls and more than 400 shoppes and artisans, there is something for everyone. National Night Out is a great opportunity for citizens and law enforcement to partner up against crime! The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services invites you to gather today from 3 to 6 p.m. to meet your neighbors and commit to helping law enforcement reduce crime in our community. Each year, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services encourages residents to spend the afternoon outside with neighbors, because neighbor knowing neighbor is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime. Local law enforcement and The Woodlands Fire Department will briefly visit with residents of many of the neighborhoods that register their parties with the Township.
