THE WOODLANDS, TX -- It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas. Local high school choirs will perform festive holiday numbers at Market Street’s Sing-Off competition on Thursday, December 11th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in Central Park.

The Sing Off will be led by emcee Cristina Kooker and The Woodlands Comedy Troupe will open the show. Participating judges include local opera singer Ian Ramirez, Elizabeth Eddins with Visit The Woodlands, and John Pearson, Market Street’s Marketing Director.

Competing high schools in this year’s event include Oak Ridge High School, Lake Creek High School, Montgomery High School, Tomball Memorial High School, Summer Creek High School, Clear Falls High School, and Bellaire High School.

The first round will include holiday-themed performances from all participating groups, with only selected choirs moving ahead to the next round of the competition. The final round of competition will include performances from the finalists, followed by the naming of The Sing-Off Champion who will be presented with the coveted Sing Off trophy and oversized check. Market Street is donating 10k in prize money to the choirs competing and will be allocated depending on how they place.

The Hyatt Centric Hotel in Market Street generously donated one free night stay to the choir director of the winning group.

Spectators may bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the performances and are encouraged to enjoy hot cocoa while they enjoy the show.
