THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As Lone Star College System continues to grow, more part-time instructors are needed to teach subjects such as mathematics, physics, government and speech.

Those interested in applying are invited to attend the Adjunct Faculty Career Fair on March 31 from 3:30-7 p.m. (last entry at 6:30 p.m.) at LSC-System Office, The Woodlands, in the Lone Star Community Building, located at 5000 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands. Campus representatives will be on hand to speak with attendees and answer questions.

“Lone Star College System depends on its expert educators who set our students up for success with practical knowledge and hands-on experience,” said Patricia Woods, LSCS senior associate vice chancellor, Human Resources.

Adjunct professors help students gain skills applicable beyond the classroom. Jamal Hajo, an adjunct professor in LSC-CyFair’s business department, has 15 years of experience helping students put theory into practice. He recently received an Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award for his commitment to student success, inclusive learning and academic excellence.

“I teach because I am passionate about helping the future generation develop practical skills and confidence they can apply in real-world settings,” Hajo said. “I teach business and management to connect theory with industry experience, preparing students to think strategically, lead effectively and succeed in today’s dynamic workplace.”

Adjunct Career Fair attendees should bring copies of their resume, unofficial transcripts, certifications and licenses. Additional information on the career fair, including the disciplines that will be represented, can be found at LoneStar.edu/AFCF. Attendees can pre-register on this site until March 22. Pre-registration is not required but strongly encouraged.
