Print Max looks great on paper and in business

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Amid a world filled with various technologies, the significance of printing has grown beyond what most people assume. This year, Print Max was voted #1 in Best Printing, Graphics, and Copy Services in Woodlands Online’s annual Best of The Woodlands Awards, and it's clear why. Print Max provides everything you might need, whether that’s business cards, newsletters, programs, manuals, or even a banner; they cover it all. Woodlands Online had the opportunity to tour the Print Max shop with owner Kirk Kinart and his team to see what makes Print Max so special and why locals rely on them for all their printing needs.

Print Max was founded in 1991, with Kirk Kinart, the current owner, purchasing the business in 2001. Before buying Print Max, Kirk was a successful geologist in the gold industry, having lived in several great places such as Australia and Indonesia before settling in The Woodlands in 1993. When gold prices fell below $250 in the early 2000s, company layoffs gave Kirk the chance to shift industries, leading him to buy Print Max in June 2001 (we had the chance to meet with Kirk a few years ago, so check that out here). Since then, he hasn’t looked back, making Print Max one of the top printing companies in The Woodlands and earning recognition in this year’s Best Of The Woodlands voting.

Located in Grogan’s Mill off Budde Road, the Print Max shop makes you feel right at home. A display of all the different offerings that Print Max showcases on a table, an open space that allows you to see all the way to the back, and friendly staff ready to greet you at the front, demonstrate the care and dedication Kirk and his team have for their clients. From there, Kirk showed off the heart of the business: the giant printers responsible for transferring designs from the screen to the paper. Unlike the printer sitting on your desk, these are huge, longer than a small car, and almost resemble high-end industrial computers themselves. Print Max arranges them by function, with one printer handling black-and-white jobs and the other dedicated to color printing. These two massive machines seem capable of doing everything, printing on all kinds of paper sizes, ensuring every batch of prints looks exactly like it did on the computer screen.

The range of products offered at Print Max is extensive, including manuals, brochures, newsletters, programs, and menus, each with its own unique designs they can print. Kirk told us that they can essentially print anything you might need on paper, showing us various businesses they’ve partnered with over the years. There are many ways Print Max delivers these products to customers. Kirk showed me a table full of pick-up orders and explained that they can also deliver orders via truck anywhere in the area, as well as ship orders outside The Woodlands.

Speaking beyond The Woodlands, Kirk mentioned that Print Max works with various companies that operate worldwide. One example that stood out to me was the manuals they printed for a medical device sold by Terumo Cardiovascular. These manuals were for machines shipped all over the world, so Print Max printed manuals in dozens of languages to accompany the devices. This means that Print Max's manuals have reached places like Europe, South America, and Asia, demonstrating that a Print Max product is not limited to just The Woodlands area.

Kirk and his team are dedicated and go above and beyond with everything they offer, providing customer service that’s sure to solve any problems customers might face.
