FREDERICKSBURG, TX -- The National Museum of the Pacific War invites the community to celebrate Independence Day with a family-friendly afternoon of history, community, and patriotic fun on Saturday, July 4, 2026, immediately following the Fredericksburg Fourth of July Parade.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., guests are invited to gather in the Museum’s Memorial Courtyard for outdoor activities honoring the people, stories, and sacrifices that shaped our nation’s history. The celebration will feature food trucks, games, interactive booths, hands-on activities, and a musical performance by Bohanon. Outdoor activities will be available by donation.

Inside the George H.W. Bush Gallery families can continue the celebration with a patriotic scavenger hunt through the Museum, with a special prize available for those who complete it. Guests can also test their knowledge during WWII and American history trivia and meet living history interpreters showcasing real historical artifacts that visitors can see up close and touch. Indoor gallery activities require regular Museum admission.

Whether visiting after the parade or spending the day in Fredericksburg, guests are encouraged to make the National Museum of the Pacific War part of their Fourth of July plans.

The Independence Day Celebration will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on July 4, 2026, at the National Museum of the Pacific War, located at 311 E. Austin Street in Fredericksburg.
