Two Houston Men Arrested Following Burglary in Progress Investigation in Spring
SPRING, TX -- On Monday, June 29, 2026, at approximately 10:05 p.m., patrol deputies with Constable Ryan Gable's Office responded to a reported burglary in progress in the 29200 block of Enchanted Falls Circle in Spring, Texas.
While deputies were enroute, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Dispatch advised that two unknown males had been observed entering the residence, removing multiple bags, and loading them into a dark-colored pickup truck parked outside the home.
Deputies quickly located the suspect vehicle, which fled from law enforcement, leading to a brief vehicle pursuit followed by a foot pursuit. With the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety Air Unit and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, both suspects were safely apprehended.
During the investigation, deputies discovered multiple large bags of suspected Marijuana inside the pickup truck. Deputies then returned to the residence and executed a search warrant, resulting in the discovery of a large quantity of suspected Marijuana and more than $12,000 in cash.
The suspects were identified as Armando Plata and Josmar Mayo Lopez, both of Houston. They were each charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana and Evading Arrest/Detention. The resident of the home later identified as Jesus Grisel Parra Contreras, was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana.
Constable Ryan Gable would like to thank the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety for their outstanding assistance and partnership in the successful apprehension of these individuals. This case remains under investigation.
