Suspect Wanted in Connection With HCSO Deputy Shooting

HOUSTON, TX -- Harris County Constable Mark Herman is asking the public to remain alert as law enforcement searches for a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Chase Layne Patin is being sought in connection with the shooting, which occurred in the 1100 block of Bayou near the East Freeway in East Harris County.

Patin was last described as wearing a black cap and gray shirt.

The public is urged not to approach Patin. Anyone who sees him or has information regarding his current whereabouts should call 911 immediately.

Residents in the area are encouraged to remain vigilant and share this information to help law enforcement locate the suspect.
