Lock in spring, summer classes early to stay on track at Lone Star College System
HOUSTON, TX -- Balancing school, work and family can feel stressful for college students, so Lone Star College System helps them plan ahead with the Full Academic Year Schedule.
“Planning and registering for courses for the full academic year allows students to stay on track with their academic and career goals,” said Garth Howard, LSCS interim vice chancellor, Student Success. “Students can lock in their preferred spring and summer schedules now and make changes as needed up to the day before classes start.”
Multi-semester registration is the best way to ensure students are enrolling in the classes required to complete their degree or certification programs. However, students will pay by term rather than paying for the full year at once.
More than 100,000 students chose to pursue their goals at LSCS this fall semester. Flexible learning options, including accelerated sessions, are available in-person, online or in a hybrid format.
The college system offers over 200 program options, including associate and bachelor’s degrees, workforce certification, and pathways to transfer to four-year institutions.
“I think Lone Star College is a great opportunity for those who need a bit of time adjusting before they are fully ready to go off to a four-year school,” said Aaric Prasitdamrong, LSC-Montgomery finance student. “It has given me the opportunity to step up and lead and participate in college activities while teaching me how to be more of an adult.”
