HS Football Play of the Game: College Park Cavaliers at The The Woodlandslanders -11/10/17
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- On Friday, November 10, the annual Battle of The Woods, featuring The Woodlands Highlanders and the College Park Cavaliers, will fill the stands of Woodforest Bank Stadium.
These two teams are always competing.
Whether it's academics, a blood drive or football, the Highlanders and Cavaliers are constantly trying to be the best team in The Woodlands area.
However, there can be only one.
So far, the Highlanders have dominated football aspect of the rivalry, losing to the Cavaliers once in the previous 11 meetings.
TWHS coach Mark Schmid and his squad are coming off one of the most memorable seasons in school history in which they made it to the State Championship game after rallying around former linebacker Grant Milton's unfortunate brain injury in the playoffs.
Last year, former Highlander quarterback Eric Schmid dismantled the Cavaliers, completing 12-out-of-15 of his pass attempts for 145 yards and four touchdowns to lead TWHS to a 63-10 victory.
Could 2017 be the year College Park wins the Battle of The Woods?
Find out Friday, November 11 under the lights of Woodforest Bank Stadium.
