About Us
THE LOVEBEANS STORY BEGINS WITH
an organic vegan chocolate spread created by Ryan Ferester in the late nineties while running his small Zen Café in Costa Rica. The spread was so popular that he decided to bring it to the American market under the name Lovebean Fudge Spread. We formed the company, with Ryan as our CFO (Chief Fudge Officer), and it was not long before Lovebean was appearing on the shelves of many retailers, including Whole Foods.
Ryan had a great time spreading the love far and wide but, alas, his free-spirited nature prevailed and he decided that growing the company into a big business was not his mission and so he made his way to California to pursue other adventures.
Fast forward to 2019 – we were running our successful real estate firm, Beth Ferester & Company, from our gorgeous new Creekside office when we realized that the space next door had become available. With an equal love of both coffee and spending time with our friends and neighbors, we decided this would be the perfect opportunity to bring a coffee shop to the area. And so a bit of a rebirth took place – we decided to call our new venture Lovebeans Coffee House and Café, which would of course feature wonderful coffee and also the spread that started it all.
Having been a part of The Woodlands community for 30 years, we have loved living and working in these beautiful surroundings and we treasure the sense of community here. Like The Woodlands, we have now expanded into Creekside, and we want to create a gathering place where friends and neighbors can meet in a casual, friendly setting to share a hug, a story, a bite to eat and a delicious cup of coffee.
With a strong sense of community comes a strong desire to give something back. We plan to do that by supporting local charities, by hosting events benefiting our neighbors and by communicating on a daily basis with our customers about their interests and needs.
We would love for you to join us in our exciting new venture opening in August of this year where you will find the very best coffee and other drinks as well as small plates to please the palate.
