About Us
The Woodlands High School is a 5-A public school, part of the Conroe Independent School District, located 25 miles north of Houston, Texas. The theatre department consists of four full time theatre teachers on two campuses, with over 500 drama students enrolled in grades nine through twelve.
Our actors and technicians have been accepted to and attend the best theatre schools in the nation including the Juilliard School, North Carolina School of the Arts, Carnegie-Mellon, Boston University, Florida State University, University of Minnesota/Guthrie, New York University, University of Southern California, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM), Yale University, Webster University, Evansville University, Princeton, etc.
Our students are members of the International Thespian Society and we have Honor thespians, National Honor thespians, and International Honor thespians.
Our alumni are doctors, business people, teachers, professors, costume designers, lighting designers, dancers, country western stars, animators, sound designers, military officers, and appear in national touring companies, in community theatre, on television, and on Broadway.
