We rescued Layla from a shelter as a young kitten. She is an American short-hair cat, 13 years old, excellent health.Faithfully uses her litter box, no issues at all with furniture scratching. We also happen to have two chocoloate lab dogs. Both dogs are very friendly, even with cats. But our younger dog is very playful and wants to constantly play with Layla any time she's around. The other dog is older and could care less about playing, so Layla is fine around her. Unfortunately, Layla has reached a point of decing she's had enough of the boisterous play from the younger dog, and has become very timid around the dog. Consequently, she has reached a point of always staying upstairs and refusing to come down as long as the younger dog is around. She has always favored being around my wife. When my wife isn't around, Layla has a tendency to hide under one of the beds are just stay generally out of sight. We care enough for Layla that we have decided she deserves a better life than the isolated, lonely life she has wound up living. We are looking for a good home for her. Charging a $30 homing fee, mainly to keep un-serious folks away, but will consider waiving the fee under the right circumstances. Ideal home for Layla would be a single-person quiet household with no dogs. Even better would probably be an older person/couple. She is a very loving cat and will make a wonderful companion for the right person. She just needs to feel comfortable and save. We're hoping to find the right match.
