Description

This is an early 20th-century Pyrex #130 Divided Vegetable Dish (also known as a Divided Pie Pan or Baking/Serving Dish). Produced by Corning Glass Works around 1919–1925, it’s made of clear borosilicate glass that’s heat- and thermal-shock resistant—perfect for baking two items side-by-side (like pie and custard) or serving divided portions without mixing. The design features a 9.5-inch diameter round shape with sloped sides, a straight glass divider creating two equal compartments, and a small integrated handle/spout on one rim for easy pouring.

The markings are classic for this era:

•  Arched “PYREX” script across the bottom, often with a “$” symbol (Corning’s early trademark for heat resistance).

•  Circular backstamp: “PYREX” encircled by “MADE IN THE U.S.A.” and “Pat’d Aug. 12, 1919” (referencing the borosilicate glass patent).

•  Mold codes: “3-1-5” and “S-5” (or similar, like “S A J” in one photo—these indicate factory, batch, and mold details from Steuben or similar plants).

No chips, cracks, or haze—which is impressive for 100+ years old. The subtle iridescence and fine concentric rings (from pressing) are hallmarks of authentic early Pyrex.
