Anyone Interested in Splitting 50lb Bags of Flour
Would anyone in the Spring, Woodlands, or Conroe Texas area be interested in splitting 50 lb. bags of King Arthur's all purpose (Sir Galahad) and hi-gluten (Sir Lancelot) flours, and Gold Medal Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour Fine Ground. The All Purpose Sir Galahad would be $2.30 for 5lb., the Hi Gluten Sir Lancelot is $2.80 for 5lb, and the Gold Medal Stone Ground Whole Wheat is 5lb. for $2.30. If you mix the all purpose flour with the hi-gluten 60%-40% that would be the same as King Arthur’s bread flour. I’d like to get a group of 5 to 10 people that are close to The Woodlands together so we could purchase different types of flour in 50 lb bags and divide them up so we can take advantage of reduced cost of buying in bulk. I’ll purchase it from Restaurant Depot in Houston and Gordons Restaurant Market in Spring and divide the flour into 5lb bags. You could come by my house on the north side of The Woodland to pick it up or we could meet someplace nearby. There would also be options to purchase flour from Azure, they have many different types of organic flours available, Rye, Einkorn, Spelt, Buckwheat, and Khorasan. All of these would be more expensive but the more we purchase the less it is, we could save up to $1.50 per lb. by buying larger amounts.
