Notable clubs

  • Clubs 1–4: Spalding Robert T. Jones Jr. Kro-Flite Cushion-Neck irons, generally dated c. 1925–1935.
    • These appear to represent different lofts/iron positions.
    • Condition ranges from heavy wear and pitting to moderate oxidation.
  • Clubs 4A and 4B: Hillerich & Bradsby / Louisville hickory-era irons.
  • Club 4A has a partially illegible model name but appears to be from roughly 1916–1935.
  • Club 4B is a Duo-Flex head, approximately 1920s–1930s.
  • Several have professional or tournament-player markings.
  • Club 10 is identified as a Jerry Barber Personal Model, Reg. No. 2473.
  • Club 7 has Reg. No. 417589 visible.
  • Some may be associated with known manufacturers such as Wilson, MacGregor, or comparable makers, but the markings are not sufficiently clear for firm identification.
  • Include early wood drivers/brassies and fairway woods.
  • Several have decorative sole plates or shields.
  • Club 13 is particularly worn and should be checked carefully for cracks.
  • Club 16 is an Old Champion with a striped face insert.
  • Club 17 is another Old Champion, with a sole marked "No. 3."
  • Club 18 is a professional-line wood with a sole marked No. 2.

  • Club 21: Unidentified perimeter-drilled/dotted-face specialty iron, approximately 1940s–1960s.

Condition

The collection is generally in used to heavily worn condition, with:

  • Rust and oxidation on many of the irons
  • Pitting on several faces
  • Finish loss
  • Sole wear
  • Some worn or deteriorated grips
  • Several wooden clubs requiring particular attention for cracks
  • Some clubs retain attractive original features such as sole plates, decorative inserts, leather grips, and period markings
