Join us for a morning of stewardship at W.G. Jones State Forest as we remove invasive Japanese climbing fern. Volunteers will hand-pull and bag the fern to help restore native habitats. Gloves, tools, and bags are provided, with extra water and a first aid kit on hand. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, a hat, and sunscreen. Come make a difference for your forest! Event listed will start at the North Side Parking Area located at the W.G. Jones Forest, 1328 FM 1488, Conroe, Texas 77384. Texas A&M Forest Service Staff will have water, bug spray, sun screen, and a first aid kit on hand if needed!
