We are seeking a passionate and reflective Pre-K teacher to join our Reggio Emilia–inspired early childhood program. The ideal candidate views children as capable, curious, and full of potential, and is committed to creating a nurturing, inquiry-driven environment where learning emerges through exploration, collaboration, and meaningful relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Design and facilitate emergent, play-based curriculum rooted in children’s interests, questions, and developmental needs
Create a welcoming, aesthetically rich classroom environment that acts as the “third teacher”
Observe, document, and interpret children’s learning processes through photos, notes, and displays
Foster a strong sense of community by building respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Support social-emotional development through guidance, modeling, and conflict resolution
Collaborate with colleagues and pedagogical leaders to plan projects and reflect on teaching practices
Integrate art, nature, and sensory experiences as core components of learning
Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Communicate regularly with families through conferences, documentation panels, and updates
Adhere to the school policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
Teaching certification
Experience working with preschool-aged children (ages 3–5)
Strong observation, documentation, and reflective thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Patient, flexible, and responsive to children’s needs and interests
