The Montgomery County Children’s Advocacy
Center dba Children’s Safe Harbor (CSH) is a nationally accredited Children’s
Advocacy Center serving Montgomery, San Jacinto, and Walker Counties. As a
recognized leader in the response to child abuse and neglect, we provide a
safe, child-focused environment where investigative partners, mental health
professionals, and advocates work together to provide justice, healing, and
hope.
Title of Position: Client Relations Specialist
Reports to: Associate Director
Location: Children’s Safe
Harbor (Conroe, TX)
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
This position serves as the centralized point of contact for all individuals entering Children’s Safe Harbor, including clients, multidisciplinary partners, donors, volunteers, and other community members. As the first point of contact, this individual sets the tone for a welcoming, professional and safe environment. This role requires a focus on hospitality, communication and engagement. This position plays a central part in ensuring smooth daily operations and ensuring the integrity of our facility.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Relations:
Greet all clients and visitors as they enter the facility
Verify the identity and purpose of all visitors at entry point into the facility
Connect clients and visitors to the appropriate department
Answer, screen and transfer calls
Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Data Management:
Maintain a log for all individuals entering the facility upon arrival
Ensure all visitors have completed the required confidentiality agreement
Adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance to protect client confidentiality and sensitive information
Community and Outreach:
Communicate with vendors and couriers
Develop and cultivate relationships with Children’s Safe Harbor volunteers and create meaningful volunteer opportunities for the agency
Sort and track the following: mail across all departments; operation’s supplies; donations; and specific event and program items
Other job duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Bilingual (Spanish/English) abilities preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience in hospitality and customer service
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
