Apply for Part-Time Music Teacher

Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum aligned with state standards and the school's educational philosophy.
Teach general music to students in Pre-K4 through Grade 8 using age-appropriate instructional strategies.
Foster musical understanding through singing, rhythm, movement, listening, music theory, composition, and instrumental exploration.
Introduce students to a wide variety of musical styles, genres, cultures, and historical periods.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
Integrate technology into music instruction where appropriate.
Performance and Programs
Direct and prepare students for school performances, concerts, assemblies, holiday programs, and special events.
Coordinate musical performances for school ceremonies, graduations, and community events.
Encourage student participation in music enrichment opportunities, clubs, and competitions when appropriate.
Select and organize performance repertoire that reflects musical excellence and cultural diversity.
Classroom Environment
Establish a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom culture.
Maintain a safe and organized music classroom and instrument storage areas.
Promote creativity, collaboration, discipline, and self-expression through music.
Student Assessment
Assess student progress using formal and informal evaluations.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate progress regularly with parents and school administration.
Provide meaningful feedback that supports student growth and confidence.
Collaboration
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music across the curriculum when appropriate.
Work closely with school leadership in planning performances and school-wide celebrations.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, committees, and school events.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Classroom Management
Maintain high expectations for student behavior consistent with school policies.
Foster an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged.

Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students.
Strong vocal and instrumental skills.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate instructional practices.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to organize and direct student performances.
