Fresh Monkee - The Woodlands is looking for an experienced, dependable Operations Lead who can work independently in the store while taking ownership of employee scheduling, training, inventory and day-to-day operating standards.

This is a hands-on working leadership position, not a traditional manager role focused primarily on supervising others. Most shifts are worked independently, so you'll regularly open, operate and close the store on your own while helping ensure the overall operation remains properly staffed and running smoothly.

Responsibilities
• Staffing & scheduling: Maintain the employee schedule and manage routine coverage issues involving vacations, illness, call-outs, transportation problems and availability changes. Work toward coverage solutions before escalating issues to the owner.
• Training: Take primary responsibility for training and developing new employees until they can confidently work independent shifts.
• Store operations: Work regular solo opening and closing shifts while maintaining product quality, customer service, cleanliness and food-safety standards.
• Inventory: Monitor inventory and stock levels, help manage ordering and receiving, and address shortages or delivery problems before they become operational issues.
• Standards & accountability: Recognize and correct quality, cleanliness and process problems and provide routine coaching to employees.
• Problem solving: Handle routine employee and operational issues independently while keeping the owner informed of significant concerns.

What We're Looking For
We're placing more emphasis on maturity, initiative, judgment and reliability than simply years of restaurant experience.

The right person should have experience in a restaurant, café, retail, hospitality or similar environment, with previous leadership or training experience strongly preferred. You should be comfortable working independently, opening and closing the store, managing changing staffing situations and coaching less-experienced employees.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership. If a shift needs coverage, you work toward a solution. If an employee needs additional training, you address it. If inventory is running low or something isn't being done correctly, you notice it and take action.

Schedule & Compensation
Starting pay: $20/hour + tips. Recent store tips have averaged approximately $4/hour, although tips vary and are not guaranteed.

Approximately 20–25 hours per week under normal conditions, with additional hours periodically available or needed during training, vacations, staffing transitions or other unusual situations.
Reasonably broad and dependable availability is important.
