PW Associates CPAs (“PWA”) is seeking an experienced senior accountant or controller to (primarily) serve one of our larger manufacturing clients.

PWA is a semi-virtual CPA firm. We have offices in Dallas and Houston, however, we work from our home offices except in the rare occasion when our clients want to meet in person or we have a team meeting.
We offer full and part-time, flexible schedule work arrangements.

We are a boutique firm focusing on providing tax, controllership and outsourced accounting, and advisory services. We serve domestic and international privately held businesses. PWA has particular expertise serving companies involved in international trade.

Qualifications Sought

We are looking for an experienced accountant who has strong industry (and ideally manufacturing accounting) experience. Three years’ experience would be a minimum.

We need an individual who not only has significant accounting experience but also one who is a self-starter, take personal responsibility for their work, and is pleasant to work with.

Since we work remotely, we need talented accountants who communicate well and frequently. We do not micromanage, so we work best with individuals who keep clients and colleagues well informed of project status, issues, questions, upcoming deadlines, etc.

We have a policy of not working for ethically questionable or demeaning clients. By the same token we expect team members to be completely honest, ethical, thorough, and proactive in their work.

CPA certification is preferred but is not a requirement to be considered for a position with our firm.

Significant experience with Quickbooks would be needed for this position.

Responsibilities

Our accountants have responsibility for a variety of client accounting matters including …
Bookkeeping,
Accounts reconciliation,
Monthly reporting, e.g., profits & loss, balance sheet, etc.,
Bill payment,
Accounts payable,
Payroll,
Sales tax & Form 1099 reporting,
etc.

We seek an experienced accountant with 3+ years of experience, preferably in industry or manufacturing accounting. Strong QuickBooks experience is required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works independently, takes ownership, communicates proactively, and is thorough, ethical, and dependable. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
