Master Gardeners Composting Classes Resume
The Woodlands, TX -- Fall is gardening season in southeast Texas. Learn how healthy soil is the foundation of a beautiful, healthy landscape on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. in a free one-hour compost class conducted by Master Gardeners at 8203 Millennium Forest Dr. Additional classes will be held the first Saturday of every month, November through March.
This first class of the season will cover the basics of composting, including how to get started, constructing a bin, tips for troubleshooting compost piles and worm composting. Participants will receive educational material and there will be a drawing for a free compost bin and other door prizes.
The classes are part of the "Don't Bag It" program of yard care sponsored by Community Associations of The Woodlands, Montgomery County Master Gardener Association, and Texas Cooperative Extension. For more information on composting or the class, please call 281.210.3900.
