UPDATE: It was announced around 7am on Saturday, Oct. 24, that the Halloween at the Y event is cancelled due to impending weather this evening.

This free event, presented by Walgreens, is filled with creative costumes, trick-or-treating on nature trails and a variety of outdoor fall activities.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - On October 24 from 4:30 – 7 pm kids and families will gather at the South Montgomery County Family YMCA at Creekside for Halloween at the Y presented by Walgreens. This free, annual event is filled with creative costumes, trick-or-treating on nature trails and a variety of outdoor fall activities.

The YMCA hosts this family-focused celebration every year to provide the community the opportunity to enjoy the creativity and excitement of Halloween in the safe environment at the Y.

In addition to trick-or-treating along the trails of the YMCA, activities include age-appropriate haunted tree houses and tipis, traditional carnival games, face painting, a cake walk and more. Children may participate in as many activities as they want and will receive a treat at each activity booth.

Friendly costumes are encouraged and the only request for admission is the donation of a non-perishable food item, which the YMCA will provide to a local food bank.

The South Montgomery County Family YMCA at Creekside is located at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77389. To learn more about the South Montgomery County Family YMCA at Creekside including our mission, programs and community events, visit ymcahouston.org/smc-creekside.
