Education for Tomorrow Alliance Announces 2019 SCI://TECH Poster Competition Winner

CONROE, Texas -- Education for Tomorrow Alliance selected the artwork of Cathy Zhang, aneleventh grader at The John Cooper School, as the winner of the 2019 SCI://TECH Wright’s PrintingPoster Competition. Ms. Zhang’s original artwork was selected from more than 60 entries from area juniorand senior high students by public vote for her depiction of the theme, “Where STEM Gets its Roots.” Asthe winner, Ms. Zhang will receive a $250 Student Achievement Award from Education for TomorrowAlliance, and her winning design will appear on all promotional posters, t-shirts, and collectible mugs forthe 29th Annual SCI://TECH Exposition.SCI://TECH is a collaboration between Education for Tomorrow Alliance, Conroe ISD, The JohnCooper School, and other area private schools that encourages hands-on scientific exploration to morethan 5,000 K-12 students each year. SCI://TECH’s 13 science, technology, engineering, and mathcompetitions and events will occur over four weekends beginning January 25 at Lone StarCollege-Montgomery and The Lone Star Convention Center. Highlights include the Chevron PhillipsChemical Senior High and the Entergy Junior High Science Fairs on February 1 and the HuntsmanElementary Science Festival, which is free and open to the public, on February 2.Education for Tomorrow Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating education andcommunity partnerships that advance student success.
