CONROE, TX -- Education for Tomorrow Alliance is seeking volunteers from the community to serve as science fair judges at the annual SCI://TECH Chevron Phillips Chemical Senior High Science Fair this Thursday, January 27 at the Lone Star Convention Center. SCI://TECH is a collaboration between Conroe ISD, Education for Tomorrow Alliance, and area private schools that engages more than 4,000 K-12 students in 13 science, technology, engineering, and math activities over several weekends each year.

Volunteers are needed for several SCI://TECH events scheduled through March 5, and the greatest need is for science fair judges on Thursday, January 27. Volunteers will review and rank student projects for a three-hour shift starting at 8:00am. The science fair enables students to explore real-world questions and to practice their presentation skills while competing for spots to proceed to the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston, as well as state and international competitions. Additional health and safety guidelines will be in place this year. No experience is necessary, and training takes place on site. Volunteers can register as science fair judges or view the full SCI://TECH calendar at www.efta-us.org/scitech.
