Howard Hughes Corporation Wins Awards from NAHB for The Woodlands Hills and Bridgeland
HOUSTON, TX — The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) is pleased to announce that it has won Gold Awards from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) for two of its Houston-area communities – the newly launched The Woodlands Hills® and Bridgeland®, northwest Houston’s premier community. Bridgeland’s monthly event Friday Night Bites won Best Lifestyle Program and The Woodlands Hills Grand Opening announcement was awarded Best Direct Mail Piece.
The National Association of Home Builders pays tribute each year to standout developers, home builders and communities nationwide who exemplify superior design, marketing and sales achievements that make them leaders in their fields. Both Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills continue to stand out among Greater Houston master planned communities and lead in critical categories. At the 2019 awards gala, Bridgeland won Silver Awards for Lifestyle Director of the Year, Building Industry Community Spirit Award, Industry Choice – Best Digital Home Tour, and Best Landscape Design. The Woodlands®, an award-winning master planned community also in the portfolio of The Howard Hughes Corporation, won a Silver Award for Best Social Media Campaign.
The highly coveted Gold Award for Best Direct Mail Piece highlights The Woodlands Hills’ successful Grand Opening. The Woodlands Hills, one of the Houston area’s newest master planned communities, created an exclusive invitation for a VIP event ahead of its grand opening, inviting guests to the Grand Opening Dedication, Flag Raising Ceremony, and Open House Luncheon. Staying on brand with the messaging and community colors of New Growth Green and Fresh Fuchsia, The Woodlands Hills’ invitation was warm and engaging from the first glance showcasing a family enjoying a sunny day, a doting mother strolling her baby while taking in the outdoors, and a child riding a bike. These images embody the wholesome lifestyle that The Woodlands Hills seeks to provide. Ultimately, over 200 people attended the exclusive event, demonstrating the invitation’s great success.
Bridgeland’s Friday Night Bites is one of the community’s many elements that make up its award- winning lifestyle program. The monthly get-together is held on the second Friday of each month at Bridgeland’s Lakeland Village Center®, which showcases traditional small-town Texas design to bring together retail, restaurants and professional services. Featuring a host of food trucks offering a variety of cuisines to the 1,000 or so people who usually come out for each event, Friday Night Bites also features live music and other entertainment. Bridgeland also offers Nature Fest, Howl-O-Ween Fest, and the monthly Farmers Market at Bridgeland in its lifestyle program offerings to provide a variety of outdoor experiences for its residents and the surrounding community.
